Not A Water Dog

Our grand-dog, Furgie Licksus, came from a doodle rescue and no one knows what her actual breed heritage is. When we take a photo of her the apps always suggest “Portuguese Water Dog.” She has extremely long legs and very curly hair, but her face is a bit different. To test the water dog background our SIL lifted her into a pool while they were vacationing in the desert. She sank. He pulled her up quickly and held onto her harness thinking it would encourage paddling. Nope. We all decided she couldn’t be a water dog. (Recently we have had people tell us she looks like a throwback to pre-selective breeding standard poodles as they were evidently often patchy black and white with her shape face and very long legs.)

Love your page and love these adorable photos! Love all these pool ellies you've included and your journaling is too fun! No matter what her genes are - she is so cute! (part sheep?) I love the title!

Sweet photos of the dog and lovely themed elements. I also like the flower clusters and your choice of papers.

The pictures of her in the water are great. It is always so interesting to see how there are some dogs that take to water well and others that don't.
