My Sweet Old Boy

I got one good picture of Dillon today. I had my hubby pick him up and hold him because he wouldn't stay still... then I cropped my DH out of the photo, lol. I actually ended up doing an extraction so I could have Dillon coming right out of the frame. Just playing around. Credits: 'The Frosty Way' (
Oh, Arlene... I hope Dillon is OK and will continue to have a fantastic life with your family. Great extraction and OOB effect :). I love the blue nuance of this page... and the birds are cute addition among those lovely flowers.

Oh my that is so sad! Having two 'babies' for six years I can only imagine what you must feel. And such a special look he has!

The extraction is awesome and I loved how he goes out of the frame. The clusters are so gentle and the splashes add to the soft feel of the LO.

I nominated your special LO at Baker's Best!

Thank you so much Nadia. Ricki, nominating this particular layout is so special for me. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

Oh, so sorry to hear about Dillon. Love him while he is feeling well. I love the extraction you did. Your update made me cry, I remember the last dog we had to put down and give away do to her shedding and my daughters asthma. She is now not doing well in my opinion and I wish we didn't have to give her away cause I feel she is suffering and shouldn't be.

My heart so goes out to you. At least you still have some time with Dillon, I'm glad for that. DH and I still reminisce about our two springers often. As you might remember, I'm very fond of springers and love all of your pages. I'll keep you and Dillon in my prayers. By the way, love your page and the OOB extraction.

It's so sad to hear that about Dillon. Love him and spoil him while he's still feeling well and happy. And take lots of photos; keep his memory. I've been scrapping our cat, Baggle, who went to the Rainbow Bridge in 2011 a lot as I'm catching up 2009. It's so special to have those photos when he was healthy to remember. Baggie was 15.

I love the extraction and background in the frame. It looks like a portrait!

I am so sorry to hear that Dillon's kidneys are failing. :( I hope you will enjoy every minute you have left with him. I always love seeing your layouts featuring Dillon. I can tell he is a very, very special dog!

Aw prayers for you and that you will know when the time is right. I hope you have many day to celebrate having him remain with you before that time comes. Your extraction is fantastic and the clusterwork on the bottom of the frame is great.

Oh! I am so saddened to hear that Dillon's kidneys are failing :( He looks such a special dog & I'm sure you will miss him dearly... *BIG HUGS* for you, your family & dear Dillon :kisses What a beautiful layout to remember him by... great extraction :)

Oh No! I am so attached to Dillon through your pages. I know the pain you're feeling ... I had a cat go through the same thing. For awhile, I gave him IVs at home. He seemed happy and I hated to "make that decision" for him. You've got a wonderful outlook on it ... you'll know when it's time to let him go. This page is wonderful - the extraction is beautifully done. I'm so, so sorry that he is sick ...

Oh Arlene I came to comment because your page is AWESOME and then I read your journaling. My heart aches for you and I know how hard it will be to honour your love for Dillion and let him go when the time comes. I am glad he still enjoys his walks and he will certainly be missed around the galleries - hopefully it will be closer to the 6 months than the 3. Miracles do happen but 13 years of happiness will be a lifetime of wonderful memories of unconditional love for you. A beautiful page for a beautiful family member.

Thanks so much Nani, Tricia, Yabby, Jemima, Lisa and Jenni. I've been taking LOTS of photos and little videos and spending time with our old boy. He is such a delight and we are so grateful that Dillon has been been in our lives for as long as he has been, and hoping for just a little more quality time together.

beautiful page - wonderful job with the out of bounds. Sorry to hear that your sweet baby is ailing - it is so hard to lose them.
