“Between every two pine trees there is a door leading to a new way of life” -John Muir

I was inspired not so much by the quote itself, but by John Muir, the man! I have been supporting a Northern California client for over 16 years and had occasion to visit Muir Woods and learn about this incredible man. The challenge brought back memories I relish revisiting from time to time... thanks @CathyK for the inspiration

The black and white treatment adds to the memories vibe. Love the faded archway and trailing elements in the upper corner.

Thanks to Jan for including my page in the tutorial this week... I just wanted to mention when I saw her comment to me, the bearded gentleman is contemplating his life: as I mentioned in the credits, it is actually a picture of John Muir himself, the pose the inspiration that fit the quote! <3
