Melbourne Cup Day is a big deal here in Australia, it's commonly called "the race that stops a nation" and, across the nation, thousands of people stop what the are doing to watch it. People who never bet or have any interest in horse racing ordinarily will take sweep tickets and/or take a TAB bet on the Melbourne Cup race every year.

This is a lovely page to share photos of two beautiful ladies dressed up for the race. I like how you used the lace. So many different kit used and you used them well.

Oh great photos, I love that pink dress, not that it would look that good on me. Love the stamp effect frame and all those pretty clustery flowers and the pink lacy border, I love lace on layouts, so feminine! You've done that ribbon thing again, I like how you do them!

Jill what a lovely page I guess this is like our Kentucky Derby where everyone dresses up and wears hats. Love the photos and of course the clusters you created are fantastic and I like the stitching you added.

Melbourne Cup Day reminds me so much of the Kentucky Derby that is held about an hour and a half away from me. The hats and the attire, it really is a big deal, which is what I am seeing in your page.
