The beach in general is my happy place, but this particular stretch of coast has become my Absolute Favourite the past twenty odd years, thanks to my hubby!

If you ask him why he likes coming here, he'll say something like: "it's away from the crowds and has a great view of Table Mountain, Robben Island and the sea without us even leaving the car." He'll admit it has good stretches in both directions for walks. But in all honesty, this beach has so much more meaning for the both of us. Not for from here we had our first kiss, and a little way in the other direction, where he told me were getting married lol It's where our kids did Kamaya-maya on the beach and where we celebrate Valentine's Day each year. It's our favourite breakfast spot Summer, Winter, Autumn or Spring, and where we have shared sooo many wonderful conversations. It was our escape during Covid when the walls were closing in and where we have probably taken the most selfies through the years. This beach is our home away from home and will always have a special place in our hearts.
