Aww, I think I remember you talking about this before. So glad to hear he's being rebuilt, hope they made it in time for the fair!! LOVE the largeness of the photo, it fits the theme and his photo perfectly---Big Tex! The strips of papers on the side creating a chevron pattern looks wonderful!! Love the bit of lace at the top and the awesome title work!!

Oh how sad .... poor Big Tex. Not a nice way for the old guy to go .... but I'm sure he'll be back better than ever. This is about as country as country gets ... cowboys and state fairs ... love it. You did an amazing job with this template .... awesome large photo and great mix of papers.

I love the angled paper-piecing above the journaling. So sad that Big Tex burned, but very cool that he's being rebuilt. The same thing happened when the iconic "Big Chicken" in Marietta, GA was blown down in a nasty winter storm. Friends who visited metro Atlanta from all over sent donations to rebuild it! I totally love the word art and clustering on this page!
