Journaling:
We tried to grow boysenberries in 2021 but did not have much success. I photographed
the progression of one berry. The first photo of the dead flower was on 8th October,
the next photo was taken on 21st October followed by the start of it ripening
on 8th November. On 13th November it was nearly ripe and we went away for
a few nights to return home to the berry haven fallen off the plant and was
over-ripe. I do not think many more ripened. I know there were not enough
for me to do any baking with them. Then the next year after the flood waters had
receded from our yard most of the plants in the back yard were dead but the vine
of the boysenberry was still lush and green.
I really like seeing the progression of the berry. It is so neat that you chose to focus on one piece of fruit. I like the colors that you have used for this layout too!

Like your layers of the pretty papers and the progression of the berry in the circle frames. I enjoyed reading journaling about your boysenberries

I am so glad you scrapped these photos. Telling stories about our everyday lives is very important and your page and journaling are wonderful. I love the layering of the backgrounds and the just right accents! XOXO Diane

Wonderful take on the challenge. How fortunate to have taken the progression of pictures. I suppose one berry would not have been enough for a tart, never mind a pie! Beautiful choice of kit, colours and elements for your single berry! (Love your journaling).

Thank you for your comment. We do not live there anymore - we could not afford to fix our flood damaged home so had to sell is as it was and now live back in the state where I grew up.

What an interesting idea to photograph the progression of a single berry! I will need to try that some year. It is amazing how quickly they ripen at the end. We have boysenberries down the alley from us, and I am glad. The birds go for them first, usually leaving our raspberries alone. They make a great decoy, LOL! My father-in-law used to make boysenberry wine! I like your circular photos and all the journaling. I remember your terrible flood and how it impacted your life.
