Great Pyramid of Khufu

I love the two halves of your layout ... the pyramid photo above and the blocks of stone below. The scale of it all is truly amazing, isn't it? I discovered this for myself in the summer of 1980 when I fulfilled a lifelong dream of visiting Giza. Even after having walked and climbed on it in real life, however, I continued to call it the name I learned as a classical civ major in the 1960s: the Pyramid of Cheops. Thanks to you, though, I now know that its true name is the Pyramid of Khufu. "Cheops" is the Greek name.

Even in a photo, the pyramid looks amazing! What a great trip that must have been. I love that you left one large photo and included one of the two of you as well.
