Good-bye Cake

I was quite impressed to see our granddaughter decorating a cake by herself when I brought her brother home from school yesterday. It was to take to their GC (Gospel Community) for a good-bye party for a family who was moving away. Kaylene has cared for their 3 daughters since they were infants, the mother is her horseback riding instructor, the family’s ranch had become almost a home away from home. The whole family will miss them, but especially Kaylene. She was rightly pleased with the finished look of her “cow” cake and I was proud of her work to honor her beloved friends.
