What magic is this? I'm speechless over your incredible placement of those photos on the open album!!

Thank you @glee. I used the Polygonal Lasso tool in PSE to go around the edge of the top left hand page, copied it and added the photo - repeated with the right side and then merged the layers to the book. I then used the eraser with the blur to go around the edges. The reason I copied the page was so I could fiddle with the photos, orientation, composition, brightness etc. without worrying about the rest of the book. I was very pleased with the effect.
