Friends

I love your journaling. It resonates with me... we moved when I was in my mid-40s and it's true... it's too much effort to make new friends when everyone around you has already got a circle they fit into. Love the woodgrain background and the stitched border.

Some interesting self examination to start the year. Didn't realize you guys lived in an isolated area. The look of your page is beautiful though. I like the wood and the stitching. The unusual combo of the chevrons and gold dots works, too.

I read your journaling with great interest, Jen, and agree with you that "making friends" becomes much more difficult as one gets older, especially if one moves around a lot or lives in an isolated area. I for one am glad that you put your thoughts out there today and shared them with us. They helped me get through another lonely holiday far from my family and friends in Texas.

Beautiful page and journaling! It is harder to makes friends as you get older...at least that has been the case for me.
