Journaling:
We celebrated Ellen’s 70th birthday in 2010 with the whole family. Everyone came to Shelley’s back yard for a barbeque, snacks and of course, birthday cake. Irene and Dave were there, Lou and Ellen along with all of our family and Shelley’s. Ray and Kay came from Moose Jaw and Cuthbert and Darlene were there too. It was a nice evening together with family from multiple places all present.
The young and young-at-heart had a great time playing outdoor games on the lawn that opened out into the park and the summer evening was long and light on the 29th of July. Looking back 15 years later, I am reminded of how quickly so much can change. So many of the people we thought would always be there are gone already and time has taken its toll on many of the rest.
