In all my years of living I have come to realize that people are more important that possessions, that relationships are more valuable than gold, and to be thankful what the good Lord has bestowed upon me. Now I sit a spell remembering the good times and trying hard not to dwell on the hurtful things. As my days are numbered, I want to make sure that each person in my life knows that they are important to me and that I have prayed fervently for them over the years. It makes me happy to see those faces that mean more to me than anything in this world and it saddens me when I hear that this one or that one has chosen the things of the world instead of the One who created them. I am most content sitting on my porch listening to the sounds of nature, petting my dog, and lifting my family to the Lord. One day I will be gone and I hope they will remember that I loved them very much.
