First stop - Fairbanks, then Denali to Talkeetna for a train ride to Anchorage. We flew to Seattle to cruise on the Norwegian Encore to Juneau for a helicopter ride to Mendenhall Glacier to dog sled. From there we cruised around Glacier Bay on our
way to Skagway to raft down a river looking for eagles, then to Ketchikan for bear watching and the last stop, Victoria. All along the way we were able to spot killer and humpback whales from our balcony on the ship. We also occasionally saw otters swimming happily in the ocean. We were in awe of the beauty and majesty of the mountains and glaciers. I loved visiting Alaska but I am not cut out for the harsh and rugged winters that those braver then me live through. I was glad for the adventure and would go back if I could.
