When you live in Minnesota, there really aren't any mountains to see. I'd never seen the mountains so I was excited to learn there was a train that goes through the mountains on its way to Fraser, Colorado and beyond. It left Denver at 8:30 am; we rode 2 hours to Fraser, spent the day, and
I am so jealous!! I have always wanted to take the train through the mountains. I'll just have to make it happen! The photos of the station are amazing and I love the railroad-themed accents and great title!

Jeanne great photos and I really never thought about the fact that you don't have mountains where you live as they are such a part of my life. Glad you got to see them and now we need to get you father out west.

oh i am soooo jealous that you can go have a day adventure like that!! Makani took the Empire Builder famous Amtrak route from Portland to Glacier National Park that summer he worked there and I've been dreaming of a train trip ever since.
The old train stations are just so fabulous and elegant (we have done short treks like Chicago to Detroit and Tampa to West Palm) and I took a zillion pics. I love that incredible one you shot of the tunnel!
Really great masking treatment and your title work. The stacked clustering featuring the locomotive is so fun, too. Hoping to see more pages of your fun adventure. Go You!!

Love how you made the template your own by adding another photo! I love day trips. I wish I could do more!

One of those things I don't even consider, I had the great Alberta Rocky Mountain view from my breakfast table every day growing up. But then I envy people that are close to a beach. Beautiful page and I enjoyed your journalling so much.
