Fifty-one years ago, I crocheted a mermaid for my daughter. It had golden bangles on the front and wore a seashell necklace. She still has it and says it is her favorite Christmas present ever.
I’ve made lots things since then - sweaters, throws, more toys, and a shawl for my sister. As I’ve gotten older, my wrists hurt more and now I only concentrate on smaller things. I’m hoping to make some of these sweet pumpkins & acorns this fall.

Wow Connie, a lady of many talents you are!! I love love that your daughter still cherishes a childhood gift made with love. Good luck with the new goal of pumpkins and acorns, they look like fun. You found the perfect kit to showcase your crochet skills, loving those themed ellies and hope to see more crochet projects appear in your scrapbook pages...isnt it wonderful how two hobbies can combine so enjoyably.
