- JOURNALING: Columbus Crew fans gave a warm welcome to their newest designated player, striker Wessam Abou Ali (Wes). Starting on the bench for the August 23 game against New England Revolution, Wes would enter the match in the 56th minute. Although he did not score and the Crew went on to lose the game 2 - 1, he looked good on the ball and there is hope that he will be the key to the team regaining their winning ways.
