Journaling:
My grandmother was the epitome of courage. Barely a year after the sepia-toned photo was taken, she was a widow with five daughters. Because my grandfather took his own life, there were no military benefits for them. She did whatever she had to so that her girls were cared for. I still don't know how she did it.

Beautiful heritage layout and Thank You for the journaling in the credits so we can read the story about your remarkable grandmother. I like the ink blot behind the cluster of flowers and the watch on a chain next to the journaling.

O I like the then and now! Beautifully placed in the middle of the paper, while you diverted it into 3 segment. Like the clustering underneath it with the mask paper.
