Honestly, they don't make buildings like this anymore. So glad they aren't tearing them down. The border really suits the elegance of the architecture.

Belton, where the courthouse stands, is very conscientuous about saving historial architecture. This courthouse has been on the National Register of Historic Places since 1976. The County has a new facility that is used for everyday court proceedings. The original courthouse is the JEWEL of downtown Belton along with a Carnegie Library built in 1903.
