I just love seeing older photos used on pages. This is lovely. Was the journaling the annoucement in a newspaper? as that is how is seems to be worded. Your choice of the greys and pinks looks so nice.

The tightly fit text in that pearl frame is awesome!! Love the delicate flourishy pink brush and beveled alpha, too.

Anne Marie, good eye! It IS the newspaper society column. I was really pleased that the description of her dress fit into the pearled frame with only minimal fuss, and that the background colour was so close to the paper I chose for the layout. That was entirely serendipity!

Of all the possibilities you demonstrated in the tut this is the best one for the photo! I can't imagine any of the other possibilities working here! I love how they use to discribe the cloathing or other happenings. Gives us a glimps into the black and white photos and other happenings of the day! Great heritage page. And thanks for the Tut.
