Ugly Scarf

Kit used: Connie Prince - Procraftinating
This scarf was the family gag gift. Each year someone was the +ldquo;lucky+rdquo; recipient of it and they had to add something to it for the next recipient. Over the years there was more crochet added, some butt
What a fun tradition and won't it be fun to see what it looks like in several more years I like the ribbon and ric rac with the buttons - good luck this week

Great photo and journaling. What a fun tradition you have! I really like the borders on the left side. Ric rac and buttons look great together.

What a fun tradition as I did enjoy reading your journaling. Nice title work.

LOL...hubby's family had a similiar tradition...one with those porch geese wearing different outfits. Amazing the wardroom that goose had over the years!
And...oh yes...that is one ugly scarf LOL!

What a fun gag gift! I love that everyone has to add something new. Great topic for this week's challenge.

Oh my- I am just laughing outloud! What a fun and unique family tradition! Love the photo and your journaling. The accent elements are perfect for adding to the scarf.

Ha! What a great tradition! I love that your family members continue to add items to it each year. I have a feeling this ugly scraf is really a family treasure! :) Thank you for sharing this great story!

Dorann, I really like your page! I especially like the ribbon and ricrac borders with buttons. And your story is so funny! :)

I really like how you did your title work and how you fastened down the trims with buttons.

What a lovely tradition. The scarf does not look in the least big ugly, though, I think you may need to work on that. I love the stitchy elements you used to illustrate your story and the pretty colours in the layout. I think this is lovely work.

Funny story and gorgeous page! love the stack, the use of the papers, ric rac and fasteners, brilliantly done!

Such a fun story; and inspiring, too. I want to make something for just such a purpose.

LOL what a fun "game". Love your bold use of colour in this page.

Oh my gosh! What a fun idea! I might have to nab that and try it out with my family. I like the black and white strips on the left edge. They contast beautifully with the orange.

That's a wonderful idea! I love the paper you used, the ribbon on the frame and the buttons on the ribbon and ricrac.
