Sounds so good! We love gumbo, but we only eat it when we are in Louisiana, as my sister-in-law makes it. I'll have to try your recipe. Fingers crossed that I can make the roux!

I had never heard of Gumbo. In the Netherlands we know roux to use for sauce or soup but it is white. Your recipe looks really great, must see if I can get all ingredients here to try.
