As for the page itself...so fresh and gorgeous! Another Becky treat. I really love the way you did that edge, with the tucked in bright pink flower contrasting so nicely, the juxtaposed stripes, bold yellow check mark( all so genius!) and that perfect little snippet of gingham ribbon. Mindblowing, really. And that open circle bg pp is another marvelous choice. Mmmm, yummy!

What a wonderful story, Becky! Love the sweet photo also. The reading gene obviously jumped over one generation to your granddaughter. Nancy Drew books were my favourites when I was young (translated to Swedish of course).
