journaling: +ldquo; What is your favorite personality characteristic, and what do you think made you that way?+rdquo; This was a recent topic among friends. I said it was the way I,m not afraid to just be who I am, even if that is different from everyone else. And then adde
Beautiful layout! I love the elements that you've used. The lace border on top is especially nice! Your title is awesome! Great journaling!!! Your photo is amazing! You did a wonderful job!

I like how you took so much time to do your explanations in your journaling. I like the large title and your photo is stunning!

Beuatiful layout and photo. But my favorite part is your story! My children are 'hapa' :) as well since their father is latino. My oldest always talks about her 'lucky' skin since it is a beautiful shade that does not sunburn easily. Good luck!

Oh dear Glee I'm in tears, speechless, I'm so sorry for all what you and your family have suffered. Racism is something I've never been able to understand, because at the end, the whole human race comes from the same place: East Africa. Now with the DNA tests, it can be seen that practically only some haplogroups would be the so-called "caucasians", but the great majority of the North European inhabitants have their origins in Asia (Mongolia, China or Siberia), and the South-Europeans also come from Asia, and well it is enough to send to do a saliva test and see that everyone of us, is an infinite mixture of all parts of the world. My father was born in France, and according to him and his family were pure french, and they didn't know about foreigner relatives, all of them pure french, but now my brother has sent to do the DNA test, and is supposed he has the same Y than my father, with no changes, and when the results came, he is 46% South European, 20% Middle East, 16% Nor-European, 8% North African, 6 % Indian, 4% native american. Yet we don't know how the native american was present, but my brother is delighted, now he feels more connected to Canada than never before. I loved to read your journaling. Wonderful picture and great use of thelace and elements, love your title work. Sending love, good luck my dear>

Glee, I am so glad to learn more about you. I've always known your spirit through scrapping but now I know more of who you are, make and model if you will, lol. I have never heard the term HAPA. So this is Hawaiian or Asian for mixed? You do you cause everyone else is taken :). Being from the south I know the term Lily White well, lol. Wonderful page.

Love your layout and your heartfelt moving journaling. You are very strong indeed. It is strange that somehow certain people came to believe they are "better" than other people. I am sorry that you and your family had to endure that stupidity. Your layout is as beautiful as your strength and spirit.

Fantastic photo and journaling! Until we start seeing people for who they are inside and not where they came from things won't get better. Hopefully more and more people are getting there.

What a gorgeous photo. Can't tell by studying the photo if it was an uber lucky shot to get the rays of sunlight or and added photoshop skill. Love the effect though. I like the large title with the photo clipped to it and the bevel layer style detailing is wonderful. Enjoyed your journaling and I like the list of positive character traits on the page even though they are mentioned in the journaling- an indirect way of answering your friends'question.

Glee, this truly is a beautiful layout! Beautiful in looks (that is one gorgeous picture!), beautiful in color and textures (I love the lace and silky ribbon), beautiful in sentiment... your journaling is amazing and I found it so interesting to read.>AND... thank you for finally telling me what HAPA means! It isn't a term I hear used here in Western Canada, but I have read it and wondered. Sorry your family still goes through even a few rough times racially. I personally find it almost ununderstandable as I was raised with parents that taught us we all were the same and hired people and shared our home and traditions, with ALL different heritages and colors, mixed marriages, non-marriage living situations etc; and this was on a farm starting in the late 50's, early 60's so I never batted an eye about 'different skin colors' and that it would make a difference to some. Such a crazy notion. But I digress.. your journaling is AMAZING, and you made an amazing layout . Good luck!

Wonderful journaling. I love the way you placed the word tags to the side of your letter cut-outs. Love the way you placed the jounral quotes on the heart.

Wonderfull laout and such a personal journaling. I like the picture, the lace on top and the stitching around the photo. The word art is great, too.

Fantastic photo and page! Good luck in the contest! I love how you used the ribbons and trims. Good luck in the contest!

Your photo is beautiful, and I love the HUGE title that you used. Racism is insidiuos - and I'm so sorry you experienced BOTH sides of it. It seems our society right now is big on hate of the white man, but it really does touch us ALL in some way. Your journaling is fantastic, and I wish the entire race baiting world could read it and learn something.

Such a pretty photo! I love all the colors you used and the elements you used to divide the page. Good luck!

This is gorgeous! I love the way you placed your large title. Your journaling is so on point! I love the way you wove the ribbon on the page. Your LO is truly a joy to look at!

That is an amazing photo! I love the change in the sky and the sun's rays. Love your borders and word strips. Your journaling sums up sooo much, wish people would get past the packaging and focus on what is inside!

I really enjoyed reading your journaling on here. Just reading it made me feel like I know you a lot better than I did before.
