Journaling:
This is not the most flattering picture of me. It's one I didn't even know had been taken. My hair is growing back in a curly mess and I am looking at the tattoo I've designed. My dress is a quick pull over with no form to hide the deformity of the surgery I've just gone through two mo
Love how the layout all came together from the placement of photo and journaling to the clusters and title. Love the clusters and story

I love the cluster in the corner of your photo very pretty and the stitched banner at the top good luck this week

I love the photo and your journal. Nicely stitched-on banner at the top of the photo and a very lovely cluster ties the LO together beautifully.

Beautiful page. Love the journaling that goes along with the picture. Tells a story well. Lovely cluster. Love the addition of the ricrac, flag and string that you used in it. Good luck.

ScrappyPenguin, it sounds like you've been through lots. I was surprised to read your journaling, because your photo is beautiful. I love all your curls, your dress is very pretty (I never wear dresses anymore) and it looks like you're showing off a tattoo. You are indeed beautiful! I do see the pain in your eyes... Hugs to you, girl....

Kellie, there is nothing unflattering about this picture at all. You look lovely. Your curly hair is beautiful, you are looking beautiful and you are right, you are ALIVE. Your husband must have been so happy to have taken this picture and kept it secret. I love your cluster at the bottom with the little victory flag! Your glittery leaves are a celebration. I love the stitching on the banner across the top. I love stitching in general, but this is really great.
Congratulations on your recovery and on this fabulous layout.

I'll be honest, I want to see the tattoo! I love the touches of sparkle and glitter . . . it speaks to the journaling that you are a survivor and still here! And the artsy, painty, stamped elements suit the creative spirit of this layout!

Beautiful photo, I love your curly hair! Lovely cluster and interesting journaling! Good luck with this challenge and for the future!

There is nothing wrong with that photo, you look good to me. You designed this tattoo? I'm very curious how it looks like. Love the title and the cluster at the bottom. Great page.

Your next layout should be of your tattoo! Beautiful page and journaling! Such an amazing story! Thank you for sharing with us. You are gorgeous just like you are, Lady! Love your big cluster in the corner and your big title. Your multi colored frame is very pretty. Very nice job!

Man, if this is you looking "not flattering", I need to see what your idea of flattering is.....I think this is a beautiful page and sounds like you have been though a tough battle. love the colors on this page and great journaling.

Your husband knew the value of taking that photo at that particular time. I do find it interesting that he did not share it with you until now. The story behind the photo is powerful. I like the way you placed the flags on the photo. Beautiful composition and TFS!

What a beautiful photo and journaling you share of what you have been through. Kudos to your hubby for taking the picture. My best guess is he knew when the time was right and you were ready for the photo. Super page.

What a great entry. This is the real beauty of the annual Survivor challenges, we dig deep and scrap about things we otherwise may not have. We learn so much about each other and strengthen our virtual friendships while stretching our creative muscles. Just perfect.

I think your photo is lovely. When I look at it and your LO as a whole, I see victory and celebration. I see a woman of strength and courage who faced down the odds and came back victorious. Your hair a curly mess? Nah. I have iwshed for curly hair all my life, like most of my family has, but have board-straight hair unless permed. Your hair is glorious!

Good for you Kellie, on your recovery, on your gorgeous curly hair, on this lovely reflective LO.

What a wonderful moment to capture and to talk about. How many times do we not take pictures or pass over pictures of ourselves in favor of documenting other? I love that you created this heartfelt page about a hard time in your life! Good luck!

So brave-in life and in scrapping. I love the photo! Great title work, too!
