My rainy weekend was spent watching all 18 hours of the Merrie Monarch hula competition held in Hilo, Hawaii April 5-8. So fabulous: the hair, the flowers, the lei, the music, the costumes, the stories + history, and of course the DANCING!! hula lives.

I love how the dancers are doing the hula around the title and journaling. I really like the paper you chose for the background with the hints of green around the edges.

Just love the woven look background with the green paint swirls and spatters. It really is the perfect backdrop for your lovely photos! Great title and journaling! One day I hope to return to Hawaii again as it captured my heart when I visited many years ago!

This is just glorious, Glee!! What a wonderful way to spend a rainy day, brings back warm memories of the luau. Love the sinuous lines of the mask you used against that wonderful background. What a stunning artform hula is!! Gives me goosebumps remembering it.

Well, this just makes me want to come back and visit!! The pieces of the different kits all fit together so well it's as if they were meant to be together. Love, love the photos and the arrangement. I wish this had been televised here because I definitely would have been glued to the tube!
