After I’d had my first job for a little over a month, my parents got me my first car. I’d had the 1980 light blue metallic Chevy Monza hatchback for just 2 weeks on Christmas Eve.</span>

There was no snow and temperatures had been in the 60s, over 20 degrees higher than normal for Detroit in December. I drove to Noni’s house for Christmas Eve dinner with Mom and we all had the normal festive Italian fish fry followed by sweets and presents.</span>

For the drive home it was just me and baby bro! My fondest memory of Christmas 82 was that ride.</span>

It had stopped raining and was in the high 50s. I vividly remember driving on an almost empty freeway with the windows partway down and the sound of the wet pavement beneath the tires. We turned the radio up full blast and sang along to Bruce Springsteen’s Santa Claus Is Coming To Town. We had so many wonderful Christmases, but that moment is my favorite holiday sibling memory.</span>

Fabulous storytelling! I love this memory and the photos you chose for the feature. I really like that your journal mirrors the layout focus, both being tall. The little Christmasy elements are so cute!
