What a great way to encourage reading! Love all the wizarding elements. After he finishes with Harry, if he still need encouragement, try Percy Jackson. 2 of the books were made into movies.

How funny, when the Harry Potter books first came out in 1997, my son was 7 - it was some of the first 'big books' that he read himself..I too read them so that I could enjoy discussing them with him..your layout brings back lovely memories for me! I love the clean lines of the layout and the lovely layering..

The Harry Potter series is one of my favorites, I read the first five within two weeks (I was late in getting started, but quickly got caught up and couldn't wait for more!) The movies are also great, and I love how you are doing it- read then watch. It's the best way to go! Books are always better ;) >>GREAT page too, love the layers!

SO FUN! Love your take on the challenge - my daughter just started the 5th book! We've been watching the movies as she finishes the books! It's been so fun!

This is is so awesome--and I'm not just saying that because I'm a HP fan! Love the clean design of your page, that great photo of your happy boy, and all the fun HPotterish pieces. I think it is so important to get kids to enjoy reading and I think that is one of the great things about the HP books---they seemed to really get kids wanting to pick up a book! Good luck!

Great photo cluster! Love the H.P. icons! I'm glad that your son not only enjoyed reading a book, but also that he really enjoyed reading his first Harry Potter book. I giggled when I read that he was commenting on the differences between book and movie ... perhaps he'll become a famous book or movie critic one day. :)
