What a story of life's challenge for you Bekki. How wonderful you can reflect on your past as you moved to change your life for your future. Your hard work paid off. An excellent LO with fabulous journaling. I like your page design.

oh Bekki, how hard your childhood must have been! I don't have words for it! So happy that you made your own way out of all and became who you are now and great, strong, good smelling ;-) and wonderful lady

Bek, this turned out wonderfully! I love the black and white photos and your kit choice is perfect. Very moving journaling.

That must have been really tough sharing this. I enjoyed reading your story; and in some ways I can relate, too. Your LO is stunning! I love the overall composition, the way you journaled down the middle,a nd the clustering...just STUNNING!

This is a masterpiece Becky! And thank you for sharing your story! I agree with 3BluEyedBabies; it must have been hard.

Wow, Bekki this had to be hard to reach that deep and revisit the gristle in your past and to tell your story of triumph so beautifully. I can tell you agonized over the design as well. You technically got it perfect. Well done.

OH my Bekki, that's a beautiful inspiring story. WHat a beautiful layout you did too. Made me picture yourself in the house and the kind of life you had. What a strong -willed woman you are. I love how you journal looks and your clustering is so perfectly done.

I love your page, and the darkness really goes along with the story. >Nothing wrong with hillbilly roots, it makes us stronger! :)>>Beautiful page

What a story Bekki! Brave of you to document and share it...we may not always be proud of our roots, but it takes a strong person to change their direction in life. Great job with your page design and I love the way you portrayed your grungy past with the papers and layers.

Bekki, I am proud of you for sharing your story. So many of us have these challenges but we're unable to share and grow from them. Your kit choice, your colors, your elements seem to be absolutely chosen specifically for this page. Perfection!!!

Wow, Bekki! Your LO is visually gorgeous! But, it's your journaling that captivated me. You are so brave for not only what you've gone through and the changes you have made, but for sharing this part of you. Thank you for sharing your story!

I love your LO. I love the way the font flows in a pattern down the center. It is so well written that it makes you believe that you are right there in the story. Great LO! Thanks for sharing yourself!

What an amazing story of making something of yourself. I love how you journaled down the middle. And the look of your layout really works with the theme

The cluster with the rope frame around the photo is stunning. I love the grungy look of your layout because it perfectly matches your text. I'm so proud of you that you overcame this life circumstance! Be assured, however, that EVERYONE (decent :)) suffers from some sort of insecurity about what people think of them. I'm glad you found your balance.

I was just randomly looking through some of the layouts and stopped to read yours. My parents used to be foster parents, and some of my foster brothers and sisters came from homes like you describe. However, what REALLY caught my attention was that you attended Indiana University and got your degree from IU. I live in Bloomington - I graduated from IU myself, and my daughter attends there now.

Congratulations on taking control of your own life. You are the kind of person that I point to when I start hearing people say their current life is "their parents' fault." I can say, "No, it's not. Let me tell you about this person I know...."
<3

what a journey you have been on. Thank you for sharing it. Love the construction if your page, and the clustering

Wow Bekki, I would have never have guessed from your beautiful profile photo that you had a rough upbringing. I am glad you found your true self and except the past and still love those from it. Your layout is gorgeous and i love that you used the rustic wood background paper and news print and a grey center piece it makes the whole page feel just they way you did Dirty but Beautiful, perfect job! Wishing you so much luck.

Your clustering is beautiful and the colors of your layout complement your journaling so well! The journaling is a whole 'nuther subject. How brave you are to bare your soul to us!
