The train engine in the picture went between Anchorage and Palmer, Alaska. I believe it also brought the coal down from Eska to Palmer to be delievered to Anchorage. We burned coal in our homes and a lot of the men worked at the Jonesville mine. My Granddad was one of them.
Thank you for the interesting layout and comments about this train engine. My grandson is madly in love with trains, and I know he would love to see this one. Does it still exist today? Is it in a museum in Anchorage? The colors you chose look very nice as do your pretty cluster. :)
