I agree ... this is definitely a Baker's Best! Such a cool and restful layout surrounding your wonderfully dynamic photo. I also fell totally in love with your tiny clusters, which look like exquisite Swiss embroidery, and your poignant journaling. Believe me, the butterflies will come, maybe even a hummgingbird or two. The thing with butterflies, though, is that each one has an incredibly short lifespan before it has to lay its eggs for the next generation. Thus, they are truly one of life's beautiful fleeting moments ... and memories.

Wow, your layout made me curious about the actual lifespan of a monarch butterfly. I was under the impression that it is short ... like 2 to 4 weeks or so. I was amazed to discover that monarchs go through FOUR different generations each year. The first through third generations live 2 to 6 weeks, but the fourth generation lives 6 to 8 MONTHS! It's during this last stage that they migrate to Southern California and Mexico, where they overwinter until they start the whole cycle again.
