Journaling reads:
<p class="MsoNormal">I think the moment you become a parent your biggest fear is something happening to your child that has always been my fear and my fear caught up with me in March of 1997. Against my husband’s better judgment we allowed our 16 year daughter to spend the night with a friend. Now that entire day it had rained and the creeks/river around us was getting up but nothing that we had not seen before. Overnight my daughter called and said they had to go around the corner to her friends grandmother’s house due to the river rising but she did not seem panicked. That morning I turned on the TV and they were talking about major flooding. My husband and I started to drive where our daughter was and we were totally shocked to find roads flooded that had never flooded and no way to get to our daughter. We tried every road possible and finally went home feeling so out of control and unable to do anything but pray. The next day we traveled again on the back roads and finally made into the area only to be told she had some people bring her out. We were thrilled to know that she was OK but so dejected that we could not see her right then. When I finally got to see her I realized that a parent’s worst fear is not knowing where or how your child is. To this day I am so thankful for the people that helped her and thank got for watching over her.

Beautiful page! Love the papers and elements you used. I can fully understand your feelings in the journaling. I must have been terrible.

What a beautiful layout for such a harrowing experience! The colors you've used are so serene and the journaling is so NOT serene that it brings a sense of tension to the page - which is perfect for this ordeal! Great job!

Great page! I love your clusters and the blended photo on the background. Not knowing where our children are or how they are, is indeed a big fear for most parents. Great journaling

Wow, what a story. I can only imagine the vast amount of worry and fear you experienced. Gorgeous layout!
