Thank you for sharing this, Yabby! Wow. I envy your upbringing and your perspective. You are very very lucky to have had a mother who understood you (or at least tried to). I just recently discovered (unofficially) that I'm on the spectrum. Borderline Aspergers. While it answers so many questions and was a big ah-ah to my husband and me, I certainly wish it wasn't true. But, then again, I didn't have a mother who helped me cope with it. She didn't know WHAT to do with me. Anyway, I admire your honesty and appreciate you sharing!
