Halfway to Normal
Today was rough... granted yesterday I spent most of the day in bed cos of pain - mostly chest and joints, so nothing to do with cancer, at least I don't think so, but who knows at this point, right?
Anyway, today, washing a load of washing and hanging it over the line in the braai room, dressing, walking 4
doors to a neighbour, and making breakfast left me so exhausted I almost didn't make it to the car, despite the fact that I'd been looking forward to it for weeks.
With hubby's help, I packed the car and went to enjoy the party. The 20 minute drive was just what I needed to recharge a bit and compose myself for round 2.
This is what 20 months post cancer looks like for me. From the outside, nobody sees the journey I've been through.. or the battles I still face. I can smile even in my worst moments. If only I could make the rest of me obey at will LOL
