I first met Jill in 2006, I think. 20 years ago this year. Well, I met her “Flat Granny” at a laptop crop. We chatted regularly in the granny thread at the Digital Scrapbook Place, which closed some years ago. The ladies in the granny thread learned about each others’ lives and families. We were all wonderful friends, a friendship that transcended time and space. Many of us visited each other in real life, but when there was a big event that we could not attend, we sent our “Flat Granny” to the event. When many of us attended weddings in real life, we carried a bouquet of “Flat Grannies” who had dressed for the occasion. I was so thrilled to find her again when she started scrapping at Gingerscraps! I have never been to Australia to visit my dearest of scrapbook friends, but I will one day. I have spoken to her on the phone and we have emailed. I drop her a Christmas card in the mail. She is a pretty amazing, pretty special, pretty wonderful person and I am SO lucky to have her for my friend.
