During World War II, my father lived in Jacksonville, Florida, as a child. His father—my grandfather—was flat-footed and unable to serve in the military, so he worked on the ships instead. This is a letter my father wrote to his grandmother during that time.
And this is not only a beautiful page, it's a precious memory. Love the simple colors and the buttons holding the letter, giving all attention to the letter and your journaling.
 
What a lovely precious keepsake I loved that you used it. I also like the lovely title and the way you did color on color with the buttons on the edges of the paper. Such a very special piece of memorabilia you have such great memory page for generations to come.
 
that's an epic momento!! Funny, my husband is from south Florida and they called the paternal Gma, Big Momma, too.
