I would much prefer my family to NOT spend their money on gifts for me...at my stage of life I have all the material things I need or want. To me, the best gift is time spent with my kids, my grands and my great! One of the most precious gifts is when grandchildren call in just because they want to, or invite me to join them on an outing, or when they come around for a comforting shoulder or a congratulatory hug. However, they always turn up on special occasions bearing gifts! I must say I did appreciate these..I enjoyed the fresh flowers while they lasted, the chocolates were delicious, the slippers lovely and cosy and I am looking forward to starting the book! I am blessed to have the best of both worlds
