Mom was a divorced mom with four girls in the sixties so she was always juggling working with every other thing that came her way. She loved recipes that were simple and could be put together so all I had to do when I got home from school was pop them into the oven to be ready when she came home from work. She was definitely the BEST mom ever! (I don't know where she got the recipe but she was a big fan of Family Circle and Women's Day magazines)
3 cups chicken, cooked and cut into bite-sized pieces
1 8 ounce container of sour cram
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
½ cup shred cheddar cheese
½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 teaspoon chili powder
½ teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
Doritos – plain or nacho cheese
Crush Doritos and just cover the bottom of a 2 quart glass baking dish. Mix all the other ingredients except the cheese and place on top of Doritos. Crush more Doritos and put on top of the chicken mixture. Cover with cheese.
Bake at 350° for 20 – 30 minutes until it’s done (probably when it’s browned on top)
Serves 4
