- Sometimes chapters of your life don't seem to fit the natural progression of the chapters as a whole. Things happen out of the ordinary that take you in a different direction than you intended.
On Sunday, March 29th, 2026, at 4:20 pm Ed took a dive off a falling ladder that broke his pelvis, his sacrum, and 7 ribs, which sent him to ICU for several days. This was not suppose to be a chapter.
After weeks of recovery, Ed was supervising the construction of a retaining wall, when his oldest grandson accidentally dropped the end of a cross tie onto his big toe, shattering the bone in several places and the loss of his toenail resulting in another trip to the ER.
These things were a disruption in the natural flow of the book and quite a setback, but the story is not over and hopefully, soon the next chapter will resume the flow of the story as a whole. Life is tough and you just have to accept the bad chapters with the good ones.
