A visit to a gems and minerals museum in a small town about 3 hours away was enjoyed by myself and a friend on a mystery bus tour. I was fascinated by the fossils, gems and geodes. The staff volunteers were so knowledgeable and interesting to listen to. This fossil is from a seed fern known as Glossopteris which existed millions of years ago
Awesome take on the challenge with this wonderful photo of the fossil seed fern! Love the clusters above and below the photo - and the hand prints are a fascinating addition to the page! And I've nominated it for Baker's Best this week!
I know that a gem and mineral museum would be something that my family would love. I really like the way that you scrapped the picture by splitting it into multiple frames.
This is beautifully done Jill! Love the photo and how you used the template for the picture placement. The clustering and hand prints look perfect here. Congratulations on the nomination!
This is an extraordinary page and the Bakers' Best is well-deserved. I love the hand prints. Your layered papers are gorgeous - especially the one you used for the journaling. Your font, the scatters, the 'dust' beneath the clusters is perfect. I really do love this page.
Right up my alley! I love to learn about stuff like this. I'm a fern lover, so now I need to "research" this one. Wish I'd been your tour companion!! Everyone else has pointed out all that's fab about this LO, so I'll just add a bit of glithering about your wonderful cluster shadows and "usual fantastic" (my hub and I say that) Jilliciousness. I do need to do a BB this week, guess it won't be this one, but hey, go YOU!
Your layout was given an "Honorable Mention" for 4/19-4/25 LOTW Poll since you have recently won the Layout of the Week contest. Congratulations!
