Journaling:
Friday April 10 was Laura’s 30th birthday and we both laughed at the “memory” that came up on my phone. It was a series of four photos from her 9th birthday party, 21 years ago. I was kind of shocked by it since I didn’t think we had been uploading photos for that many years!
We still had Rory through until Saturday and he and Guinness entertained each other but they also wore one another out. It was nice to see him go home Saturday night because then Guinness and I could go out for leash walks. I am not brave enough to try walking two large dogs in the neighbourhood when the squirrels, birds and rabits are all out in force too.
Wednesday morning, when I took Guinness over to spend time with Rory while Ellen and I went out shopping they were excited like they hadn’t seen each other in months, not days.
Dylan came over on Saturday and we tried making corndogs from scratch with the idea of using the air fryer.
We haven’t had too many total failures in the kitchen but the corndogs were definitely a fail. We ended up ordering in from a local restaurant when we decided the results of our efforts were inedible. After lunch we played Warhammer 40K and I wiped Dylan off the board before the end of round 3. I think that is my biggest victory yet but I am sure Dylan will make adjustments to his army before we have a rematch and it will be much closer.
Laura brought Elizabeth over for a visit on Monday morning. It was a short one because I had to take Grandma Ellen to her doctor’s appointment but we enjoyed seeing them. Later that day Laura shared some of the photos they had taken of Elizabeth enjoying the play table and Thomas having fun on the front lawn playing with the bubbles from the bubble machine he got for Easter. Tuesday night brought a bit of a shock - I went to take a shower and the showerhead snapped off the arm, leaving half of the threads behind. Hopefully it won’t be too tough to replace.
Oh my gosh - that smile in the middle photo is heart-melting! Lovely page and sounds like you had a really busy week with lots of fun - except for that broken shower head. I had to laugh about you not wanting to walk two large dogs through the wild life in the neighborhood! Such a great page - thanks for sharing!
Fabulous page with wonderful journaling! I love the font you used. The stitching across the top of the pictures is a wonderful addition, along with the simple flowers. This needs so little embellishment - That smile is embellishment enough!
