Sunday, March 8th
Clocks sprang forward! It will take me six months to recover. I did laundry really early, then watched online church. I was actually dressed and by the car when I realized it was too late. After that, I attended a meeting of a paper-crafting club i in Laguna Woods, then headed to Mark’s and took him out to lunch. I was so glad to get home and put my feet up. Rand and I watched the last episode of the Count of Monte Cristo PBS Series, then watched the 2002 version with Jim Caviezel. You would think that was where my day ended, but no! After that, I counted out the DBE Service awards, sent out the task assignments and the minutes from yesterday’s meeting. THEN I went to bed! it was a very productive day.
Monday, March 9th:
Mark lost his placement in his home today. He is staying at Tina’s for a few days until we can sort something out. I am heartbroken. I wish we could find a permanent place for him. I spent the day working on the DBE Annual Council Meeting. I created the installation scripts for Mary, verified the attendees with Linda, sent in the Gate list, deposited some checks and a million other small things. There is a lot to do, but I will get it done. In the evening, Rand and I started the Count of Monte Cristo PBS Series again. It is excellent!
Tuesday, March 10th:
I worked a lot on the ACM, creating cards for the service awards and other stuff. I spent the afternoon at the camera club and printed out 44 pages, then stopped at Staples for certificates for the 60-year service awards. Then headed to Trader Joe’s. When I got home, I wrapped up the name tags and the certificates. There is more to do, but I will finish it at Stevens and print it on Friday when I get home.
Wednesday, March 11th:
I headed off to babysit, then Tina brought Mark over to stay with us. Rand is a saint. He took mark out for food and got him settled, then shopped for groceries Mark would like. I worked on the DBE ACM again and got a lot done. Today a lizard got into the kitchen, I am not sure where it came from. It is under the oven at present!
Thursday, March 12th:
Kids were pretty well-behaved today. Karen came by to visit. She spent hours loading the car up for the ACM. I am so grateful to her. After she went, I worked on the ACM until it was time for bed.
Friday, March 13th:
Today was a normal babysitting day. Bruce was grumpy, Scarlett was bossy! We saw the lizard again and after a chase, I caught him and put him outside. Steven worked really late. By the time I got home, I had so much to do. I went to bed at 2;30!
Saturday, March 14th:
Today was the ACM. Mark helped carry things inside for me and for the ladies. We set up in plenty of time, the ACM went smoothly. I was installed at 1st VP, Recording Secretary and Communications Secretary. The food was delicious, the flag parade excellent and when it was over, everyone helped clear away. I went home and slept!
