“Two Girls from Amoonguna” tells the intertwined story of two women, tracing their lives from childhood to the present through paintings, sculptures, and a newly commissioned animated video. In this animation, figures from Marlene’s soft sculptures and Sally’s acrylic-on-linen paintings come to life, depicting the world as they knew it and creating a portrait of two friends and the communities that shaped them.

The sculptures are crafted from recycled, bush-dyed woollen blankets, embellished with wool and cotton. The touring exhibition, shown at our Art Gallery in 2025, brought these elements together—showcasing the sculptures and paintings alongside the continuously playing animation.
How creative! The exhibition must have been so interesting to see. I really like how you've pulled out the lavender colour and the paint strokes gives your layout a very artistic feel. Great page :)

Art comes in all forms and this is a beautiful display! I am glad you added the journal to read as it adds to the beauty of it all.

Wow what a fun exhibit and I love how you scrapped the photos with the striped paper, the buttons and the fun font you used for the title

Great extraction, interesting art show. I like the garland border you created w the stamp. What a creative solution. I finally tackled this challenge, too. Didn't have time to post it on Thurs, but it's coming.

Stunning, bold, and marvelous to behold.
Love how you focused on the art...their story and the story of the display. Just like being there.
(The very UPSIDE of sharing our scrapbook pages)

Fantastic bits of the mini kit that enhances each section. Beautiful weaving of the gorgeous lilac hues, excellent extraction and LOVE the striped platform you created!

So interesting... I love the interesting extraction, the fabulous journaling. Love the layered bit at the bottom and the lovely thing you ahve created up top. I do love your work so much, darling Jill. Now I want to do something like the thing the girls have done. but I don't have time.

Thank you for including your journaling. What an interesting story! I like how you used the tabs as accents down the center photo line and wow on the extraction main photo. Thanks for joining the challenge.
