Somewhere in my early 60s, people started treating me like I was old as blazes. When I go to my primary care doctor, she hands me a form to fill out. In there is a circle like this one. I’m asked to create an analog clock with the stated time.

Last time I was there, I told the staff I didn’t know why they were worried about whether I could still tell time this way when there were young folks out there that never learned how in the first ding-dong place. They, of course, looked at me like I was a crazy old coot. It left me scratching my head wondering how I got from learning how to tell time to seeing whether I can still tell time. Obviously, I can still tell time because I can manage to get to her office on time. She, on the other hand, apparently can not because she is always running late. Perhaps it is her that needs to be tested & not me.

I needed a good laugh today. This is fantastic journaling. and to add the purple ribbons are great for elements for the clock arms

Those cognitive screenings are something else! Love the way you've scrapped this with the circle and the beautiful purple colors in your paper and ribbons.

What a fun page you created. I remember my mother doing such a test and she was not asked to write the numbers, she just had to draw in the hands at a certain time and she could not do it. It was a crazy drawing she did. Sadly it proved she was early dementia.

Oh my!!! I can so relate!!! I get the same question along with what day is it, what year is it, who is the prime minister, spell world backwards, remember the three words I was told a few minutes earlier...I understand it though, it is a yearly baseline guage of your cognitive health as you age. I loved your oh so humorous take on TIME, yours and the Drs!! A very clever idea for the challenge prompt!! Thanks for the laugh.
