My parents moved us to Houston when I was 5 years old. A year later my mother had back surgery and I stayed with my best friend, Denise, whose parents lived across the street while my brother stayed with my beloved Granny. Soon after that, Denise's mother had Kelly, and we all became very close. This is a photo of the four of us a few years later sitting on the front of my grandparents 1955 Chrysler at their lake house on Lake Tawakoni. Happy times for me then.
