This morning, when I spotted this single convolvulus flower all alone in the midst of a large expanse of ground cover foliage, I immediately thought of the song “I’m a Lonely Little Petunia in an Onion Patch”. This isnt a petunia and that isnt an onion patch but that song just will not get itself out of my head!!! I hope that soon a few more buds will open up to keep this lonely little flower company, then maybe I can forget the song for a while......2025/09.
Just a few days later, Lonely Petunia had lots of playmates . . . . but that crazy song is still going round and round in my head!
I love the visual effect that you created with the combination of scallops and lace. I also really enjoyed reading your journaling, it is great to see all of the pretty purple flowers a few days later.
I was immediately drawn to all that vibrant green growth, and lo and behold, it's by Jill! So happy Ms petunia got some company. The glittery purple title ( w white stroke ) looks so pretty and I'm always gonna cheer for a bit of lace. How you found matching purple flower elements is quite astounding, and the delicate yellow string pinned down by a purple button is cherry on top perfection.
I had not heard that song, so I naturally had to look it up. SO.... now I am singing it in my head. It is so cute. What a beauty this page. So impressive that you found a matching flower. It must have taken hours (Boo hoo, boo hoo). Just in case it is not going through you heard ("Won't you come and play with me!") Before I am too distracted by the "Wonwy wittle petunia" I have to focus on this wuvwy wittle page. Your lace throughout is wuvwy. I wuv the wittle button on the stwing! The stitched wibbon is dewightful! And I am gwad you incwuded the picture of the fwends waiving a few days waiter!
I've never heard this song before, but this page is so gorgeous!! Love the photos and the beautiful glittery title. The ribbons and lace look amazing together!
