Journaling: DeFuniak Springs has over 170 buildings on the National Register of Historic Places, many of them around the round, spring-fed Lake DeFuniak. In the summer, it’s fun to walk around the lake and watch all the ducks and other waterflowl. At Christmas, though, the houses are decked out beautifully, some with lights and others with decorations suitable for the period of their first construction.
