Journaling:
Winter break calls for a day spent tobogganing on the local hills! First we hit the Davis Tract for a warm up on the smaller, less icy hills. We wondered along the trails for a couple of hours, testing the toboggan on hill after hill, doing at least two or three runs on each; more if the run was more fun.
Then it was time to hit the big, curvy hill at Eldred King. The entrance at the bottom of our road is a steep, curvy section that tests the mettle of even the most adventurous soul. If you survive the drop and the curves, you must be prepared to thwart the head of steam you’ve built up and come to an abrupt stop at the very bottom or else you’ll end up in the creek!
