Journaling reads:
It was almost the wedding day and I realized I had left it too late to get a mother- of-the-bride dress. I picked something from my closet, but it didn’t feel right. A few days before the wedding, I abandoned stitching pearls on the wedding dress and hunted through my fabric stash to see if I had anything I could use to make a dress. I didn’t have much, but I found this lovely piece of purple beaded fabric I had purchased in India 20 years ago, and there was enough lining left over from making the wedding dress for the sides of the pattern I had and enough of the overlayer to make my sleeves. I lined it with fabric I had purchased for making masks. It had tiny hearts all over it. And so I celebrated my beautiful daughter’s wedding day with a lovely new dress that was filled with stories of my life.

There you are!! Mother and daughter on this very special day, both looking beautiful!! Of course you made your outfit two days before the wedding:)!! How lovely that the dress has its very own story!! The work at the side of this page is exquisite Lynnie, so much attention to delightful detail. Love!!

Oh you both look gorgeous. I'm amazed (but I shouldn't be surprised) that you managed to make your outfit in such a short space of time.

Beautiful! The layout, the photo, the dresses, the bride & the mother of the bride! You did a marvelous job creating your dress and in such a short time, too, with fabrics left over from completed projects or destined for other project. Well done!

Lovely photo of the two of you! You did a smashing job on making both dresses! The border with the journaling is beautiful too, love the flowers and that shabby paper looks a treat keeping the bits separate, love that bit of lace just to finish it off!

What a lovely mother and daughter photo. Both the dresses are stunning. Beautifully scrapped page to highlight this special photo.

Wow! Not only is the dress amazing, but the story behind the dress shows that it's as much of a treasure as you are! Such a lovely documentation of what is sure to be yet another heirloom handcrafted by you!

I can't add anything more than what everyone else is saying. Your dress is stunning and OF COURSE you made it in TWO DAYS with "scraps" you had "leftover" from India! Good Lord, woman! You're a treasure. Well done! And great layout too.

Incredible dress and story behind the dress, and it looks so pretty! mom and daughter on the most special day looking stunning! I enjoyed reading the journaling, pretty page!
