In 1944 or early 1945, my husband's grandfather's P-38 slid off an Icy runway and collapsed the nose landing gear. My husband has been build a 3D model to fly for the last 3 years. It is finally ready and will fly on Thanksgiving for his Mom and Dad. He put his grandmother's picture and her nickname "Stinky" for his nose art. We staged a few photos with cutouts of Bob.
